This policy explains what information outdoorshaven.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. It was last reviewed in September 2026.
Who we are
Outdoors Haven is an independent publisher of outdoor activity and travel guides. We do not sell products or trips, take bookings, or handle payments.
What we collect
Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which articles people read and how they arrive. This records pages viewed, approximate location at city level, device type, browser and referring site. We use it in aggregate and cannot identify you from it.
Server logs. Our host records standard web server logs, including IP address, timestamp and requested page. These are used for security and troubleshooting and kept for a limited period.
What you send us. If you email us, we keep that message so we can reply to it.
Cookies and advertising
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site uses them for analytics and, where advertising is enabled, for ad delivery.
Where we use Google AdSense, Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising in your Google Ad Settings, and opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to processing. Where required, we ask for your consent before advertising cookies are set. In practice we hold very little: there are no user accounts, and analytics data is not linked to a named person. To make a request, email the address on our contact page.
If you are in California, you have the right to know what personal information is collected and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information.
Third parties we rely on
- Google Analytics for audience measurement
- Google AdSense for advertising, where enabled
- Our hosting provider, for serving the site
Each has its own privacy policy governing what it does with the data it receives.
Links to other sites
We link to parks, retailers, outfitters and other publishers. Once you follow a link, that site’s privacy policy applies rather than ours.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top.
